How might you start to resolve a current conflict in your life?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for May 18, 2007:

The picture I chose today expresses this more beautifully than I can find the words.  It came from a greeting card by SATURDAYS and inside the words are, "You can come back anytime now."

Conflict is a most interesting thing: It can be the door to growth, it can be a door closing because affinity is no longer happening.

I generally walk into the conflict when I feel that there is an openness to resolving, clarifying, etc.  If it proves to be a closed situation, I find a way to resolve my concerns, first, within myself, then externally if that is required.

Walking away, without resentment, is often the challenge to  rise to meet.  Yet, I've always kept my door open to resolution at a time that seems more receptive.  Sometimes, that day doesn't  return.  Yet, when it does -- such rejoicing sings my heart!

I must accept choices that others make.  I've come to understand that acceptance is always "an open door ready to be  opened once again."  It's kind of like a vigil...a pause in time and space waiting presently for a return.

All To Love,  Sharon
