Some of My Haiku Moments, albiet American...

Magnolia
Now for the Haiku section I included as a follow-up of sharing:
        GLADIOLAS
"Glads" with a will to live-
       Nodding orange blooms,
    stems longing for more sun...

A GATHERING GOODBYE
Such a cacophony! --
Then, ...a deep hush...
WHOOSH-a massive alight of southward flight!

HOME FINDS A PLACE
Scratching and Scraping----
Ah, a field mouse
nesting in my downspout!

SIGNS OF A FRIEND
Bits of hay gather at my door?
  Looking up - I smile
A nest between wall and pipe.

Now, back to a celebration that takes on the form of
Haiku ( a moment created as a gift of graditude for a computer wizard, a Unique Tweeeking friend):
OH, SO TIRED
A silent sound calls...
    eyes glance upward
  Ummm, 5 AM again!

ANOTHER WORLD
Eyes locked deeply into cyberspace,
   Lost in a virtual world--
Clicking, clicking, clicking...

ENGAGEMENT
Slide out a keyboard cockpit.
Touch here, then there - generating power...
Body sinks into a leather womb.

ALT ENGAGEMENT
Slide out a keyboard cockpit.
  Press here,there - powering up...
Body sinks into a leather womb...

I hope you found the Haiku Moments  by Sharon of some enjoyment.
My intention was to evoke a moment, a sense  you were experiencing ...

I entitled this with,  “albiet  American”   but what I wanted to say was with Kerouc…

I've been inspired by Kerouc's broken rules, too. I've been playing with Haiku at those rare moments when I'm struck  with words merging with the feel of being  one with the object of my observing…

English and Japanese speak so differently, and  the original creation of Haiku spawns largely from the alliteration of the Japanese language.  Kerouc had to bend those rules to allow English its place in this genre.

Maybe, one day my play shall give way to a deeper communion with this art.  I think the utter simplicity of its expression takes sitting with many contemplative moments over a span of many quiet years.

All to Love,   Sharon
