Where do your beliefs come from?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for May 06, 2007:

Ahh, beliefs, they are a most interesting thing;'

Whether we are aware of it or not, our beliefs influence our creating.

Some beliefs we absorb from our surroundings-people, TV, ads, books, movies, religions...

Some beliefs are generated from self experiences - trauma, betrayal, a good life, death, giving birth...

Some beliefs are imprinted - body survival, pre-verbal experiences, birth experience...

Some beliefs are transcended and then rejected or translated into knowingness...

Some beliefs are conscious, some subconscious, some unconscious...

At the core of beliefs is the acceptance of something as valid or true.  I've entertained beliefs from all these avenues of receiving them.  I've untwisted some beliefs, dismissed some, battled with some, transcended some.  They are an interesting aspect of my consciousness and awareness.

I think many of us are rather cavalier about beliefs, and I think this is not in our best interest, as person, as a race, as an evolving being, as a society, as a business, et al.

They are pivotal to our choices and our choices are at the heart of our creating.

They were for me uploaded from my amber level environment, rejected consciously, now examined and found wanting. Examining our beliefs happen through time and with dealing with life's occurrences, as you shown. Dismantling beliefs are very important; most hold us back.

All of the above and also simply whatever thoughts we keep thinking in our mind or self-talk we often unconsciously repeat over and over becomes a belief or conditioning of our brain neuropaths.  We don't usually examine our beliefs  until we face difficulties and frustrations andr set an intention to be mindful of our fleeting thoughts and feelings….want to know and understand where we limit ourselves through limited beliefs. Many of our judgements about things, events, people are actually limited beliefs.  Creating new reality by changing  old beliefs  (and  some of them are deep rooted)  is both challenging and exciting….as we break our own hurdles.
