I am currently in the process of co-founding an organization that beholds a paradigm shift in educating children, and it begins with the teaching of teachers to be all they can be. It shall be called, Antakarana (AKRNA), and the schools that will flow from this will be an interconnection of interrelating satellites. This project is in its inception of becoming - funds are a major issue to resolve. What's new, eh?—Practical life strikes again!
I preceded this project with a 5 year research project that was formulated into a small school named, As Buds Blossom. Dr. Elizabeth Caspari was my Montessori teacher and inspiration, and Thilagavathy Samuel was my practicum mentor.
Together, we founded AMMA (Antakarana Montessori Method Association). Amma, a Tamil word for mother, is particularly well suited for this Montessori Way which is focused upon teaching as a nurturing skill.
Our Vision Model is known as AKRNA (Antakarana Co-Creation Learing Project Association). This school of thought and mentoring is interested in creating teaching centers to train the teachers in the ways of being a Matea. Train the teachers and the children will come…
The schools which each graduating team of Matea's will found and nurture into a viable existence will be known as Kokkoro. Each school, while unique in an outward manner, will be set up or established on a firm basis of same principles for enduring existence and integrity of pedagogy. Meanwhile, I'm involved in CASA which is a volunteer program that advocates the best interest of children who have been abused and are in great need of someone who is going champion their concerns.
When we were being sworn-in after completing our training, the judge mentioned that he held a certain admiration for the CASA volunteers because, unlike even himself, the law required that this service be strictly volunteer. That struck a deep note within me, and the wisdom of why that is so slowly dawns anew apon me each day.
My areas of experience include teaching parenting skills, tarot language and structure, dream interpretation, SelfGnosis, Kabbalah, OneBrain Facilitation, political advocacy, Empirical Medicine (Energy), relationship and communication mentoring, Balanced Reiki, wholesale and advertising sales, ASL, Essene Ministry, communication mgt, being 'the big cheese, the little cheese, and all the cheeses in-between'…
Some areas of my loves, that which delights me are dancing, organic gardening, mysteries, hats, cooking (especially with some favorite tunes in the background. For reasons un-beknownst to me, French Cajun and Engelbert Humperdinck have been very enticing to kitchen work lately! ), floating on my back in water, relaxing in a hot tub ( ooh, my muscles always secumb to the release a spa invites), and wearing my clothes as art - my clothes and accessories are my palette, and my mood is the stroke of my brush upon the canvass of my body. I just never know what I'm going to end up with… but it is often an exquisite mix with interesting details. And, yes, OF COURSE, it is always in good taste!!? :)
